Who am I??

Since this is a blog about my life! It might be helpful to know a little bit about me! I was born into an awesome family! My moms Lisa is a Florist in our town! My dad is a HR specialist! And I have a sister Spencer who works at the local college HSU! Oh and we have the newest addition to our family! Kitty Purry! My grandparents on my moms side Tom and Annette are also a key part of my life! They remind me all the time how proud they are of me but I'm lucky to have them more than they will ever know! Then I have my Aunt EE! The best aunt a guy could ever ask for! She's a lawyer/judge/ pretty awesome aunt! On my dads side I never got to meet my Grandpa, but I know that he was an awesome man and great father! My Grandma past away a few years ago but she was a super special lady! She loved us very much and I know she's having a blast in heaven! Together they make the greatest family in the world! 

Now as for me, I'm a product of a great rasing and lots of spankings...especially over telling time and counting change....can't help it! Anyway, I was born in Oklahoma City, OK and finally made my way to Arkansas! I always wanted to be a professional Basketball player! And Baseball player....And well Football player! Ok anything that included being an athlete I wanted to be! Due to some unfortunate events...I found out really quick that I wasn't meant to be a baseball or basketball player! Soooooooooooooo thanks to my parents and a great friend I achieved one dream of being a college football player! If it wasn't for my family and friends I wouldn't have made it! My senior year I met the most amazing girl in the world her name is Allison! And we have been dating since Febuarary 14, 2012! She's my best friend and I love her more than anything! She puts up with my crazy and random ideas! Which are plenty and often! Her and my family always push me to be the best and support me through all my descions! 

Another key part to who I am is my faith! I am a homegrown southern baptist kid! I believe in a much higher power than my own understanding! *note my blog title* I respect others beliefs! But I expect people to respect mine! I believe that Jesus Christ died for the sins of humanity and by his grace we are saved! 

I play football at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR! I am very blessed to have a great team and made some life long friend through the process!

I am an aspiring Football coach and believe that it is my role in life to teach young men to become the leaders of our country just as my father has taught me to lead my family one day!

New Beginning

Well hello there!
I am Garrett! And this as you might imagine is my blog! I originally created this blog for a class and decided, since I saw my sister start one, made me think "hmmmm, why not!" So I'm starting over this blog! This is about my life and the adventures me and my family go on, and my journey as well!
